Kids First Enterprise has developed a factory in Dong Ha Town, to manufacture wheelchairs and other medical products. Profits earned will be used to provide sustainability for programs like the Kids First Rehabilitation and Career Training Village. The distribution of wheelchairs built by the Kids First Wheelchair Factory will focus on providing wheelchairs to individuals who will, through the use of a wheelchair, provide sustainability for themselves and their families. We hope to create sustainability for up to 50,000 families over 5 years.

The factory will provide jobs for the local community, with a focus on employing people with disabilities that graduate from Kids First’s industrial training program. The factory will create a domestic market as well as international market for the products it manufactures. The initial capacity for the factory will be to produce 10,000 wheelchairs per year; to be sold to other NGO’s for distribution throughout Vietnam and other developing countries.
